We describe a versatile pipeline for processing the data collected by Ultra-Violet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) on board Indian multi-wavelength astronomical satellite ASTROSAT. The UVIT instrument carries out simultaneous imaging through selected filters/gratings in far-ultra-violet (FUV), near-ultra-violet and visible (VIS) bands of targeted circular sky field ( $$\sim 0.5^{\circ }$$ dia). This converts (Level 1) emanating from their raw primitive format supplemented inputs spacecraft sub-systems into UV images (and slitless grating spectra) associated products readily usable astronomers 2). primary include maps Intensity (rate photon arrival), error effective Exposure. is open source, extensively user configurable with many selectable parameters its execution fully automated. key ingredients extraction drift pointing spacecraft, disturbances due to internal movements; application various corrections measured position detector each – e.g., differential respect reference frame shift add operation, systematic effects artefacts optics telescopes detectors, exposure tracking sky, alignment multi-episode exposures generate consolidated set astrometry.
